During this beautiful and diverse 12 day trip you will discover several cultural and historical sights, and the beautiful natural beauty that is Portugal. Escape the hustle and bustle of the Algarve and discover another kind of Portugal. You will receive a warm welcome at the quinta's of Dutch owners, among others at our boutique resort Quinta dos Moinhos.
Three different accommodations, in three different areas, are all easily accessible from Porto or Lisbon.
The trip will bring you to the beautiful nature of the Minho and the Douro area in the north of Portugal. In central Portugal you stay in a typical village in the largest protected natural area of the country, the Serra da Estrela. Followed by the Estremadura region with its many historical highlights, where you will stay in the famous town of Batalha.

In the north you will stay with us, Erik and José at boutique resort Quinta dos Moinhos in one of the atmospheric luxury holiday homes situated in the vineyard, a green oasis of peace and space. Enjoy with a book under an olive tree. Visit Porto or one of the characteristic towns such as Braga and Guimarães. Take a long walk through one of the natural parks. Finally, a day trip to the famous Douro area will be a nice ending to this region. Of course it is possible to join us for a delicious dinner in the evening.
Then you travel to central Portugal to our Dutch colleague Fir Tiebout near Quinta da Geia an 18th century country house in the village Aldeia das Dez, with beautiful gardens and large gardens, swimming pool. Located on a slope of the Serra da Estrela. Discover rugged rock formations, deep ravines, untouched nature and a beautiful bloom in spring. Also here many hiking possibilities, and beautiful ancient villages and hamlets. Possibly you can even take a day trip to Coimbra.
Ihr drittes Reiseziel ist die Westküste in der Estremadura. Dort wohnen Sie bei Dini und Cees in der Casa da Ceedina im bekannten Städtchen Batalha. Entdecken Sie diese wunderschöne Stadt – ein Besuch des Klosters von Batalha ist ein absolutes Muss. Batalha ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu den vielen historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Alcobaça, Caldas da Rainha und Tomar. Auch Lissabon ist von der Casa Ceedina aus bequem zu erreichen. Ein Tag an einem der traumhaften Strände der Costa da Prata, der Silberküste, ist ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert. Denken Sie zum Beispiel an Nazaré oder Peniche!
